Pediatrics is the medical speciality that deals with medical care of infants, children, adolescents. It encompasses a broad range of health services including preventive care, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic diseases, as well as monitoring growth and development, addressing developmental milestones, and providing nutritional guidance. Pediatricians work to promote the health and well-being of children through primary healthcare, preventive medicine, and by managing physical, mental, and emotional health in every stage of a child’s development up to young adulthood, typically until around age 15 in some cases depending on the healthcare system
